Trace Hollifield

Trace Hollifield, Lead Security Architect at GuidePoint Security, began his career in the cyber security industry in 2012. His first project for cyber security was implementing a cyber security fusion center for the Republican National Convention 2012. After a successful implementation for a national level event, he went on to build out a cyber security practice for the internal and external networks for the 5th largest cable company in the US supporting 2.5 million customers. The security program covered multiple services including but not limited to network security assessments, penetration testing, network & system configuration audits, vulnerability management, legal hold, anti-malware programs, and compliancy and remediation programs.

Trace earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Japanese language from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He holds several certifications from SANS, ISC2, ISACA and EC-Council including the CISSP, GSLC, and C|CISO. He is also active in the security community having served on Broadband Internet Technical Advisory Group (BITAG) and serving on the board for ISSA Tampa Bay Chapter.
